Enter surreal

In our work with the new visual and conceptual universe for Danish Digital Award 2024, we’ve been given the freedom to play with our pure imagination.

Instead of industry buzzwords like touchpoints, user journeys, and automation, we allow ourselves to use associations and play as our primary tools.

A multitude of unique little stories for each category. Executed as graphics, Gifs and films.

When dealing with exceptional talent, one should always be open-minded and provide the freedom to create something different from what you might have expected. Ruby&Red is not only exceptional but extraordinary in their vision and ability to imagine and express the true brand DNA of Danish Digital Award. For that vision, I’m very grateful.”

-       Kim Jong Andersen, Chairman, Danish Digital Awards.

A human touch to digital excellence

By using human body parts as a visual element, we symbolize that even behind digital work there are living people. The use of, for example, hands reminds us of our ability to create.

In a time where algorithms control many aspects of our lives, our hands are a strong symbol of our will to preserve our humanity.

Hands, ears, and eyes also represent communication and connection. They are the sensory tool we use to reach out to others and create contact.

The human body symbolises the closeness that is crucial for human relationships - even in the digital solutions we create for each other.

Ask yourself
WHY NOT?

The collage form represents our desire to touch and feel in a digital world.

We use surrealism in our animation, making the viewer wonder and at the same time try to make sense of it all.

Whenever we feel inclined to use our usual approach of argumentation “Why does a fish swim out of a mouth?” we flip it to a more liberating question: “Why not?”.
